PETER HAHN relies on Sales & Operations Planning with REMIRA TIA A3

To be able to plan and forecast new collections more precisely in the future, PETER HAHN has decided to use REMIRA’s S&OP-Tool TIA A3. This tool ensures the basis for an integrated “Sales and Operations Planning”-strategy and generates new benefits for the company that has been famous for high-quality fashion for over 50 years. From action and sales planning to forecasts and scheduling, TIA A3 guarantees an integrated and optimized procurement process at the multichannel company.

With a total of over 1,000 employees, PETER HAHN supplies fashion in the upscale quality and price segment: In addition to Germany, the customer market includes eight other European countries in Central and Northern Europe. The distribution channels consist of mail order (catalogues and e-commerce) and stores. Reliable article sales planning is a key success factor for purchasing and procurement. Given the large number of articles, promotional activities, channels, and countries, this was only possible to a limited extent using the previous applications.

New action planning tool for planning promotions/advertisements

Before implementing TIA A3, it was already clear that although the standard had a very high degree of coverage, PETER HAHN needed another module for article-related sales planning. Within this module, articles are planned, calendared, and projected per promotion and their time period. It also includes the possibility to draw conclusions for future development from past planning and to apply them.

Particularly in the fashion and consumer goods sectors, where product lifecycles are sometimes short, it is necessary to constantly control and react quickly. REMIRA TIA A3 supports companies in implementing the Sales & Operations Planning process in a holistic and comprehensive manner. The result is integrated product planning that takes the supply chain into account. By using REMIRA TIA A3, the availability of goods is to be increased, the costs of transport optimized, and pollutant emissions reduced.

The goals: Further standardized processes, methods, and tools

In addition to the newly developed action planning, the modules rolling sales planning, size key, extrapolation and disposition are used at PETER HAHN. Thus, the integrated S&OP software TIA A3 will change the content of the scheduling work: Dispatchers will now become planners, decision-makers, and implementers, as the software already analyses and calculates all the necessary data after extensive article sales planning. The project managers also praised the uncomplicated implementation of the software in the company's processes. "The specifications for time, budget and quality were met to our complete satisfaction. Likewise, our requirements were implemented promptly, and questions were answered directly. Peter Hahn would therefore choose the product and the implementation partner again at any time."
