123BigBags opts for Outperform Planning
123BigBags, online specialist retailer for big bags in the European construction industry, has chosen REMIRA's Outperform Planning cloud solution to support and further optimize its planning. Already today, Outperform is reducing the costing effort at 123BigBags from two days to two hours per week.
The Dutch company, based in Rotterdam, is a specialist in the supply of flexible bulk containers, so-called big bags or FIBC, for DIY stores, recycling, and the garden industry. The product range includes big bags of all sizes, whether for multinational construction companies or the small hobby gardener. In addition to the various designs of big bags, the company also offers fabric bags, asbestos bags as well as tarpaulins. "123BigBags sells the big bags over the Internet throughout Europe and aims to dispose of 123 million tons of Europe's business waste through its bags by 2032. That's three times as much as the whole world if you put all the bags side by side - Europe is a key driver for our recycling goals!" explains CEO Krijn Degenkamp. To keep up with the company's steady expansion and the increasing challenges that come with it, he was looking for planning software and chose Outperform Planning, a REMIRA product.
Better planning with Outperform
The cloud-based supply chain app Outperform was integrated into the existing ERP system at 123BigBags in a very short time. The integrated business planning solution combines planning, procurement, and capacity planning and, thanks to intelligent AI, provides accurate sales forecasts to create the optimal balance between supply and demand. With the help of the software solution, 123BigBags builds a structured S&OP workflow and can identify opportunities and risks in its own supply chain at an early stage - an important aspect, as the big bags come from India or Turkey with different prices and delivery conditions. The inventory can be at the supplier itself or at the fulfillment center in the Netherlands; due to the Brexit, there is also an additional fulfillment center in the UK. All this needs to be closely coordinated because the business is growing fast and working capital and cash flow need attention. Outperform Planning helps 123BigBags keep track of everything and already reduces spreadsheet work to two hours per week.
