Simplifying the scheduling processes and centralising data access for all eight locations – these were the goals of M.Bach GmbH at the introduction of the LOGOMATE inventory management software. With the integration of the REMIRA solution, the wholesaler for plumbing, heating and installation needs is abandoning the disposition from the merchandise management system. This could no longer represent the necessary flexibility, in some decisions the dispatchers had to rely on their gut feeling. The new solution now centralizes all knowledge about purchasing and inventory. In this way, sales of the approximately 20,000 items in stock can be precisely predicted and a high delivery capability can be ensured.

Searching for digital support: Prior to working with REMIRA, Transgourmet, a food wholesaler, had no software for inventory management. The employees in the planning departement estimate at which time and how many of the 25,000 different items had to be ordered. The consequences: shortages, a significant rate of breakage and spoilage in the stored food. “We would like to have a software that permanently optimizes our stocks and generates order proposals,” explains Christine Keszner, Head of Procurement Logistics at Transgourmet.

REMIRA software laid foundation for digital inventory management

Twenty years ago, REMIRA developed the first version of LOGOMATE with five employees, thus laying an important basis for the digital evaluation of mass data in logistics. To date, the inventory management software has helped numerous companies, such as Fressnapf, NKD and BVB, to achieve centralized and optimised scheduling. A prerequisite for the company’s continued success is, among other things, the willingness to develop constantly. REMIRA is currently working on new solutions for mobile access to the software.

LOGOMATE enables optimal utilization of loading capacities

The European commercial vehicle market is on a growth path. On average, only 55 percent of the loading capacity was actually used in 2016. LOGOMATE from REMIRA enables optimal utilization of trucks and shipping containers. The inventory management software has a truck and container optimization function as standard. This automatically replenishes orders in such a way that only fully loaded trucks or containers go on the journey. In this way, users save delivery costs and at the same time protect the environment.

REMIRA develops virtual central warehouse for bauXpert

24 legally independent companies, a total of 32 warehouse locations and around 50,000 stock keeping units: bauXpert, an association of building material dealers with an external turnover of 326 million euros, intends to manage its inventory in the future via a central procurement platform. The company therefore introduces LOGOMATE from REMIRA. The software bundles the movement, inventory and forecast data of eleven of the 24 connecting houses in a virtual warehouse. On this basis, joint ordering processes are initiated centrally. In the long term, the building material dealer benefits from a streamlined procurement process and a higher turnover in the shop assistants.
