LogiMAT Stuttgart, leading international trade fair for intralogistics solutions and process management, will be postponed. After LogiMAT 2021 had not taken place in presence this year, but as a digital variant, it was finally supposed to start again on site in Stuttgart in March 2022. Due to the current high incidences, those responsible for LogiMAT have now decided to postpone the trade fair. The new date is May 31 - June 2, 2022.
Due to the Covid situation and the insufficient vaccination quota, the organizer of the LogitMAT trade fair in Stuttgart, EUROEXPO Messe- und Kongress-GmbH, was forced to postpone the March date of the presence trade fair to the end of May 2022. To bridge the time until the trade fair in May 2022, the LogiMAT.digital platform will be extended for all participants until the end of June 2022. In a press release, Michael Ruchty, trade fair director of LogiMAT, Stuttgart, said:
"The current high incidences also unsettle our exhibitors. This is understandable and cannot simply be ignored. Therefore, we must once again react to this current situation in good time. Our exhibitors need planning security, which is difficult at the present time. Whether the presence event in March could take place in full is unclear from today's perspective."
In recent years, LogiMAT in Stuttgart has become the most important intralogistics trade fair in REMIRA's calendar. The cancellation of the LogiMAT trade fair is regrettable, but absolutely understandable, thinks Marek Matuszewski, CSO of REMIRA, as well:
"The decision to postpone LogiMAT is the right one. For us, too, the health of all participants is paramount, and at present the priority must be to reduce the incidence and hospitalization rates again. A face-to-face event with visitors from all over the world is simply not justifiable given the low vaccination rates and busy hospitals. We look forward to being part of the show and presenting news around our products when the overall situation allows it again without risks!"
