Germany's largest household goods retailer F.S. Kustermann has opted for REMIRA's LOGOMATE inventory management software to optimize its stocks and replenishment. The aim is to simplify product range decisions, reduce stock levels and increase cash flow through demand-oriented replenishment.
F.S. Kustermann is a seventh-generation family business founded in 1798, based at the Viktualienmarkt in Munich and employs around 180 people. The traditional full-range retailer also offers cooking courses and other events in its portfolio of over 70,000 items.
To date, F.S. Kustermann has relied on a conventional merchandise management system to manage these products, some of which are international. However, this only works with fixed reorder points. "Fluctuations in sales, promotional periods, seasonality – we have not been able to take any of this into account so far. Then there are individual customer orders and manual adjustments to the ordering processes. It's all very time-consuming, uncertain and confusing," summarizes Hans-Jürgen Knoll, Purchasing Manager at F.S. Kustermann.
"For us, switching to LOGOMATE not only means a significant reduction in stock levels, but also an increase in stock turnover speed. This ensures more cash flow and less tied-up capital."
To further increase the level of automation, the specialist store also uses the software's automatic order triggering function, albeit initially only for individual suppliers. The full implementation of the inventory optimization software is already planned for mid-July. Prior to this, mandatory user training sessions will be held on site by REMIRA.
"The cooperation with the REMIRA team is absolutely uncomplicated. We can actively contribute our ideas at any time and have received competent support and guidance since the start of the project."
